Fight the Fury is a side project formed by John Cooper, the lead vocalist and bassist of Skillet. While Cooper is openly Christian and his faith influences his music, he has stated that Fight the Fury is not explicitly a Christian band. In an interview, Cooper clarified, “I think that for me, Fight the Fury is not a Christian band, but I want to be really clear to say that I’m still a Christian and my faith is very important to me.” (consequence.net)
Therefore, while the band’s members may hold Christian beliefs, the band’s music and messaging are not centered on Christian themes.
